What we offer at Custom Model Train Painting
When you decide to have us paint your locomotive here is what to expect.
When we receive your model we test run it and fix all small problems at no charge. Heavier repair work will cost extra and we will provide you quote by email before any work is started. We disassemble the model down to the nuts and bolts. We then strip the paint off (as needed). The parts are then cleaned of all oil, dirt, and grease. We then paint your locomotive and oven bake each color of paint to insure a tough quality finish.
After painting the model is then reassembled and tested. Any bugs are worked out and it is decaled and finished to your specifications. Weathering is available at an additional cost. The weathering is applied by an airbrush and chalks.
You will be contacted when loco is ready for shipment.
We can custom detail your loco for you. We do ask that you send photos of the loco you want if you have them. All books and photos will be returned to the owner. We do cab interiors, cab curtains made of cloth, extra detail parts to give it that extra little flurish, plus a variety of other things. Email us for quotes.
If you desire a sound system we install sound units and DCC of your choice. We can purchase ready made cams of your choice or we can make our own. Sound installation will include sound unit, speaker, all Mintronics plugs, lighting, etc. Email us for quotes.
Remotoring and regearing services are available...subject to availability of parts.
