Hello, my name is Jason and I have been involved with model trains from an early age. I have been custom painting for 6 years now and have done a lot of work for various clients from the average modeler to working on locos and cars for a movie producer in California. I do this as a side business at home. I work a full time job as an electrician. My love of trains started with my uncle giving me his old HO set at the age of 5. The rest is history!
I became involved in the narrow gauge scene on a trip to Colorado with my family. I fell in love with it and have modeled it ever since. My favorite road is the Rio Grande Southern. I am a member of the Slim Rails Modular group in Colorado Springs and a former 2nd VP of the Texas Western Model RR Club in Ft. Worth Texas. I left the club when we moved to Colorado in 2001.
I have won several awards in the NMRA model contests and was asked one year to not enter. They said they were tired of me winning and wanted me to be a judge instead. I am working on my MMR status as time goes on. Special thanks goes out to my wife and son who have supported me while trying to get this up and running.
